The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...

It's not official, but if true, probably a good choice for Obama, given his laughably poor resume. I think Biden was the single most qualified Democrat running for the nomination. We'll see what happens at the formal announcement.

Amidst a set of interesting (if not earth-shattering) polls, we see a very mild reversal from the trend we detected yesterday. Obama now leads in swing states Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. Most relevant results in electoral math is in Nevada, where Research 2000 shows Obama coming from 5 behind to a one point lead
